Who we are

Way back in 2008, we had an idea and decided to put our money where our mouth was (excuse the pun...). Being a family of vegetarians, we wanted to share our experience with others, but all around there, critics would be saying that the concept was ridiculous, it was contradictory, and would not work. Not one to shy away from a challenge, we pushed forward despite what our "well-wishers" were saying and....fast forward to today...Yummy V now has a good following who love us as much as we love them, and what of our critics? They are eating in our restaurant, right now.

What's up with the mock meat??

A question that is asked in no short supply. It does indeed seem a strange concept that as a vegetarian restaurant, we would want to serve fake "chicken", or "beef". But actually, we want to show the meat lovers that we are not missing out on anything and that our food can be as nutritious and as tasty as theirs! In fact we want them to come and try our food, and hopefully become a vegetarian as well! Wouldn't that be so great?

Of course our food is for the current vegetarians as well! There are quite a few vegetarian restaurants around, but not many Chinese vegetarian places and so we fused our passion of food with our philosophy...creating Yummy V!
