Background
The idea for Yummy V was conceived in 2007 amidst the drastic increase in food prices, foot and mouth outbreak, the catastrophic bird flu crisis, and the pork "Blue Ear" disease outbreak in China. It certainly was a bad year for the meat industry. As a result we experimented with the vegetarian option, and a few months of trials we found there were no big drawbacks as a permanent lifestyle choice, rather there were quite a few advantages such as feeling less bloated after eating, improving our digestive transit, and generally feeling healthier.
From there we spent the next few months researching it, finding alternatives to meat products, and creating balanced meals for you all to enjoy that rivalled meat in both nutrition and taste. After creating the menu, we embarked on a journey to re-invent ourselves from our former company to become Yummy V. It has taken us over a year but it has definitely been worth it! We hope you think so too!
What about now?
We are aiming to push the boundaries for contemporary chinese cuisine with our original recipes and innovation ingredients. We want to show the world that being a vegetarian means more than just eating celery every day, a lot more. It is at the very least on par on every level with a meat diet if not better, and that vegetarians can also enjoy fine dining as much a meat eater. So what are you waiting for? Enjoy the best in life, come dine with Yummy V!
